About Us
Gérard Stokkink founded the Dutch Body Language Expertise Center (ELN) in 2016 after completing his studies in France where he graduated in non-verbal communication (synergology, Paris 2005). After this he specialized in intercultural differences in body language.
In 2011, Gérard introduced body language as a minor at the HvA (University of Amsterdam) and founded -in collaboration with P. Turchet (founder of synergology)- the Dutch Institute for Synergology.
In 2016, Gérard stopped his collaborarion with Turchet and founded the Body Language Expertise Center (ELN) to integrate Bodysystemics as a method for professionals. Since then, ELN has provided information to judges, lawyers and people working in the field of communication, training, coaching and psychology.
In 2022, ELN specialized in forensic research of body language in the judiciary.
Gérard is a much sought-after speaker on radio, at universities and training institutes.

The accreditation by professional organizations confirms ELN working method, education and teaching materials.
ELN is the only organisation in Holland recognised by the Swiss Association of Specialists in Non-Verbal Communication. This international quality register for specialists guarantees the accreditation and further training of specialists in the Netherlands. To become a certified specialist, students must pass a final exam and submit to personal research papers.
